Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce Hosts Ribbon Cutting

Vermont Business Magazine The Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony at The Governor’s Inn to welcome new owners Craig Weber and Dan Buryj. The event took place on the inn’s welcoming front porch, where Chamber Executive Director Carol Lighthall and Assistant Director Riley Karl joined Craig and Dan to commemorate this exciting new chapter for one of Ludlow’s most cherished historic properties.

The celebration also included family and friends, as well as Art Randolph of M&T Bank, a Chamber Board Member, who joined the festivities to show their support for the couple’s new venture and the inn’s bright future.

The Governor’s Inn, originally built in the late 1800s, is known for its classic Vermont charm, elegant Victorian architecture, and warm hospitality. The beautifully restored property features well-appointed guest rooms, period details, modern amenities, homemade breakfasts, and inviting common spaces. Its central location offers guests easy access to Ludlow’s restaurants, shops, and outdoor recreation.

Open year-round, the inn serves as a gateway to Okemo Valley’s four-season experiences — from skiing and snowboarding at Okemo Mountain Resort to hiking, biking, and exploring the region’s lakes, trails, and scenic byways. The Governor’s Inn is also a proud participant in Vermont’s renowned Inn-to-Inn Walking Tour, connecting travelers to a network of charming country inns through self-guided and self-paced walking adventures.

“We’re thrilled to continue The Governor’s Inn tradition of welcoming guests to Ludlow,” said Craig Weber. “Our goal is to preserve its history while offering a fresh, comfortable experience that reflects the beauty and community spirit of Okemo Valley.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony underscored the Chamber’s commitment to supporting local businesses and promoting the region as a place to live, work, and play.
