Burlington releases body-worn camera footage from March 11 ICE incident

The footage was being temporarily held while active internal investigations were underway.

Vermont Business Magazine The Burlington Police Department (BPD) has released body-worn camera (BWC) footage from officers assigned to the March 11, 2026, federal immigration enforcement incident in South Burlington.

Media outlets and members of the public can access the BWC footage via the BPD’s YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe0M_pKxIvRJbedlA6I2TJtwkJlwBFG6L

The BWC footage was being temporarily held due to the City’s active use-of-force review pertaining to the incident, which is nearing completion.

“I want to thank our community for its patience as the City finalizes its review of the March 11th incident,” said Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak. “I understand the public’s expectation for timely transparency – especially in incidents involving use of force – and I know many have been waiting for the release of this footage. The timing of this release reflects the need for our review and oversight processes to proceed thoroughly and independently. My administration is committed to transparency, earning public trust, and sharing information as responsibly and promptly as possible. We look forward to providing additional updates in the weeks ahead.”

The Burlington Chief of Police is expected to render his final decision on the Use-of-Force Review by the end of the month.
