Ashley Wainer is joining Runamok full-time as President & CFO, with a planned transition into the CEO role by the close of this year, at which point Eric Sorkin will move into the Chairman role. In that capacity, Eric will remain deeply engaged - focused on our brand, business development, and strategic relationships - while continuing to support Ashley.
This is a tremendous win for Runamok. Ashley has served as our fractional CFO since 2023 and has been deeply involved in virtually every aspect of the business, including sales strategy, operations, topline growth, and organizational development. Her impact has been substantial, and having her full-time is something we've been looking forward to for a long time.
For those who don't know Ashley: she spent the first part of her career in public accounting with KPMG before moving to Vermont Gas Systems, where she spent over 12 years rising from regulatory accountant to executive roles spanning finance, operations, and new product development. She founded Ripcord Consulting in late 2022 and quickly built it into a successful fractional and advisory practice.
Ashley and Eric complement each other well. She brings financial discipline, operational rigor, and strong organizational instincts. With her leading day-to-day operations and ultimately stepping into the CEO role, Eric will shift to Chairman, where he can focus on brand, business development, and the strategic relationships that will drive Runamok’s next phase of growth. We couldn't be more excited about what's ahead.
