Lawmakers, Council recognize 46 Vermont Eagle Scouts Friday in Montpelier

Vermont Business Magazine The Green Mountain Council will hold the 2026 Eagle Scout Recognition Day at the Vermont State House on Friday, honoring the remarkable achievements of Vermont youth who earned Scouting’s highest rank in 2025.

  • Location: Cedar Room, Vermont Statehouse, Montpelier

This momentous day begins with remarks from Vermont lawmakers and the presentation of Scouting’s Report to the State at the Cedar Room. Immediately afterward, the Eagle Scout Class of 2025, which includes 46 extraordinary individuals, will be celebrated during a lunch program at the Capitol Plaza.

Together, these dedicated Eagle Scouts contributed over 10,985 community service hours in 2025. According to the Vermont League of Cities and Towns, the total economic benefit Eagle Scout Projects provided communities and Vermont non-profits amounted to $377,774.

  • 9:30 a.m. — House Chamber Resolution Reading, Vermont Statehouse
  • 10:00 a.m. — Scouting’s Report to the State, Cedar Room, Vermont Statehouse
  • Approximately 12:00 p.m. — Keynote by Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Gregory C. Knight and Eagle Scout recognition program, Capitol Plaza Hotel

About the Eagle Scout Class of 2025

  • Williston produced the most Eagle Scouts with 7, followed by Jericho (4), Manchester Center (3), and Swanton (3).
  • 33 Cities and Towns celebrated at least one new resident Eagle Scout in 2025
  • 29 of Vermont’s 61 Troops celebrated at least one Eagle Scout in 2025. Troop 692 Williston led the way with 7, followed by Troop 635 Essex Town (3) and Troop 832 Swanton (3)
  • Eagle Scout Leadership Projects contributed 10,985 of the council’s 17,997 recorded community service hours in 2025.
