Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) has announced the results of its January 12, 2026, annual election of VMEC Advisory Board members.

Re-elected for additional two-year terms to the board are Cristin O’Donnell, Plant Director, King Arthur Baking Company (Norwich); Dave Blittersdorf, President/ CEO/ Founder, AllEarth Renewables, Inc. (Williston); Janette Bombardier, P.E., Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Chroma Technology (Bellows Falls) and Mike Rainville, President/ Owner, Maple Landmark, Inc. (Middlebury). Also, Mike Rainville was re-elected as Chairperson of the VMEC Advisory Board for an additional one-year term.

New Apprenticeship Fund Available VMEC and the VT Department of Labor (VT DOL) are pleased to announce their latest Apprenticeship partnership. The American Manufacturing Apprenticeship Incentive Fund, administered by the Arkansas Office of Skills Development on behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor, is a new pay-for-performance federal incentive program.  It is designed to help employers create, expand, and sustain Registered Apprenticeship programs in advanced manufacturing. In Vermont, VMEC is assisting manufacturers with their registered apprenticeship programs in collaboration with VT DOL. Complete details on why this fund matters to Vermont-based manufacturers, who can participate, key takeaways for employers and contact information can be found at this link
