Sarah Pelkey, community development director for the town of Poultney, will join the Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region on Feb. 2 as its new director of economic development.
Pelkey brings to CEDRR strong regional experience in community and economic development. In her current role in Poultney, she focuses on downtown revitalization, community planning, marketing and business development.
At CEDRR, Pelkey will lead efforts to attract, retain and expand businesses, manage grant and loan programs, and strengthen regional partnerships across Rutland County. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.
