Sanborn, Head & Associates, a New Hampshire-based engineering and technical consulting firm with a Burlington, Vermont, office, announced year-end promotions for Jonathan Hillman and Derek Long, and appointed Sean Murphy, and reappointed Barret Cole and Charlie Head to its Board of Directors.
Both Hillman, a mechanical engineer who joined Sanborn Head in 2019, and Long, a civil engineer who joined the company in 2014, were promoted from senior project manager to project director. Hillman holds both bachelor's and master's degree from UMass Lowell; Long earned a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Murphy, a project director at Sanborn Head, was elected to the Board of Directors for a three-year term as an internal director. He succeeds Kevin Stetson, who recently completed a three-year term.
Founding principal Charlie Head and President and CEO Barret Cole were reelected to the board as internal directors for a one-year term and a three-year term, respectively.
