Alex Halpern (pictured), president at Freeman French Freeman, has been elected chair of the Lake Champlain Chamber Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Heather Ross, director and shareholder at Sheehey, Furlong and Behm, who completed her term as chair at the end of 2025.
Coinciding with Halpern's appointment, the chamber elected six new members to the board. They are: Tatiana Davydov, Vermont market manager and assistant vice president at NBT Bank; Patrick Gallivan, executive director at Vermont State Dental Society; Ara Hagan, president and founder at Hagan Associates; Paul Jarvis, partner at Bilodeau Wells & Co.; Matt McMahon, partner at MMR; and David Seaver, senior vice president of commercial banking at Northfield Savings Bank.
“The Lake Champlain Chamber’s work is rooted in the knowledge and experience of our business community,” said chamber President and CEO Cathy Davis. “Our talented and engaged Board of Directors provides us with valuable insight and feedback as we seek to continually improve our region’s business climate.”
