Ned Coletta, president at Casella Waste Systems since November 2023, has been promoted to CEO as part of a months-long succession plan at the Rutland-based resource management services company. Former CEO John W. Casella, who guided the company for five decades, has transitioned to executive chairman of the board.
Coletta brings to his new position more than two decades of experience with Casella, joining the company in 2004. He has served in several pivotal roles, including chief financial officer and president, where he drove financial discipline, operational excellence and strategic expansion.
“Ned’s deep understanding of our business and his proven ability to execute make him the ideal leader for Casella’s future,” John Casella said. “His vision aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy to grow responsibly and lead in sustainability.”
