Vermont Republican Party Next week the Vermont Republican Party will be hosting its fall Awards Night, and this year the special guest speaker will be nationally syndicated radio talk show host Erick Erickson of Atlanta.
Erickson had formerly been Editor-in-Chief and CEO of Red State News and had previously been a regular guest host for the Rush Limbaugh show during its run.
While the headline speaker may have national recognition, the rest of the awards night will be focused on recognizing both Vermont Republican legislatures, along with a new “Local Leader” award named in honor of former Republican House leader Don Turner. Republican Legislators are able to nominate someone in their local community on the local municipal level who demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
Other awards include a new “People’s Choice Award” that allows Vermonters from across the state to nominate their favorite Republican serving either in the House or the Senate. The legislator with the most votes will be named the evening of the event.
Tickets to the event and instructions on how to cast a vote are found on the Vermont Republican Party’s website at www.vtgop.org/awards.
