SunCommon, a solar energy company serving Vermont and the Hudson Valley in New York, has promoted Mike McCarthy from director of sales to president of the organization.
McCarthy, a former Vermont state representative, joined SunCommon in 2013 as a solar community organizer and has focused most of the last decade on selling solar to businesses, farms and schools. He was elevated to sales director last fall when the company was acquired by Clean Royalties.
"These people are the best, and I'm thrilled to guide us through the changes ahead," McCarthy said. "I know we will keep finding great ways to help people in our communities power their lives with clean energy."
