National Life Group has announced the promotions of Kristin Cook, Crystal Trepanier and Johanna Petty-Dunlap (pictured) to senior leadership roles in operations, reinforcing its continued growth among the top 10 life insurers in the U.S.

Cook, a 20-year National Life employee, was promoted from chief underwriting officer to senior vice president for life underwriting and business development. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont.

“Kristin is a very visible and widely recognized ambassador of National Life in the upnderwriting community,” said Executive Vice President of Operations Achim Schwetlick. “Her strategic acumen, enterprise mindset and long-standing commitment to a differentiating service experience have made her a critical contributor to our leadership team.”

Trepanier, who joined the company in 2007,  was promoted from associate vice president for in-force operations and field services to vice president for contracting and licensing and after-issue operations. She is a graduate of Plattsburgh State University in New York.

“Over the years, Crystal has made a significant impact in each of her roles,” Schwetlick said. “Her leadership was instrumental in implementing electronic delivery of policy packages, innovating our payments processing approach and just recently in the rollout of the new agent contracting platform.”

Petty-Dunlap, a seven-year National Life employee, was promoted from senior director of operations for life and annuity claims to associate vice president and head of claims. She is a graduate of Briarcliff College and holds an MBA in management from Ashford University.

“Johanna's influence has extended across key organizational initiatives, most notably her pivotal role in transformation of the claims organization,” Schwetlick said. “In addition to being a force inside of National Life, Johanna is also a well-known advocate for the company in the claims community.”
