The United Way of Northwest Vermont, a local independent nonprofit serving Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties, has elected two new officers and four new members to its board of directors.

Rick Blount (pictured), a consultant at Gade Associates, was elected chair, and Katie Titterton, co-owner of Clear Spot Communications, was named secretary, in unanimous votes by the board. They will join vice chair Adrina Walker and treasurer John St. Hilaire, who will continue in their current roles, as board officers.

"In a time, a state, and a nation where unity can seem like a vanishing ideal, I'm inspired by how United Way of Northwest Vermont lives up to the promise of its name," said Blount. "I’m honored to serve as United Way’s board chair and continue helping unite Vermonters to build a future where everyone thrives."

New members elected to the board are: Jerry Carter, a partner at Moody Advisors in Burlington; Liz Gamache, president and CEO at Lund; Julia Guy, associate director of leadership giving at the University of Vermont Foundation; and Heidi Stumpff, regional president of Vermont at M&T Bank.
