Dr. Anthony Williams, a primary care physician at Central Vermont Medical Center in Barre, has been named Community Partner of the Year by Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice, a not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association committed to providing high-quality, medically necessary home health and hospice care.
The award annually recognizes an individual, family or local business for going above and beyond in support of CVHHH's mission and work.
Williams, who earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, has served as CVHHH’s home health medical director since March 2013. This volunteer role provides oversight developing and implementing CVHHH’s quality-assurance program and clinical guidance to CVHHH staff and champions CVHHH’s work in the community.
“Tony knows our work well and the efforts we make each day to care for patients in their homes,” said CVHHH Chief Operating Officer Kim LaGue. “He has collaborated with us on clinician trainings and has been there if we needed an advocate in the community. We have relied on Tony, who has been a go-to and was a huge support for us in our efforts to navigate serving our community during the pandemic. We will miss having Tony in this role and wish him all the best.”
