Dan Phelan, general manager of the Windjammer Restaurant and Upper Deck Pub in South Burlington, has purchased Palmer Lane Maple, the iconic Jericho maple creemee stand, from Paul and Colleen Palmer.
Phelan, who took ownership of the business on July 1, said he will preserve Palmer Lane's legacy as a local family-owned and operated enterprise, with a focus on continuity of service, product and experience — values at the core of both his career and the Palmers’ success.
“Palmer Lane Maple is already a Vermont institution. I’m honored to continue what the Palmers so thoughtfully built, and to carry that forward with care,” Phelan said.
Through the early transition, the Palmers will remain involved to ensure that the rhythm, feel, and operations of Palmer Lane Maple continue to meet community expectations.
