ECFiber, the internet service provider created in 2008 to address the lack of broadband in rural areas of Vermont, has announced that its new operator, the Vermont ISP Operating Co., has hired Gopi Sundaram as CEO.
Sundaram joins ECFiber from Radius Capital Partners in Cary, North Carolina, where he served as managing partner. He is a graduate of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute in Mumbai, India, and holds a master's in computer engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA in finance from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
“We were very happy to have Gopi join the VISPO board initially, and thrilled when he told us he’d be willing to become our CEO," said VISPO board chair Alessandro Iuppa. "His expertise and deep experience gives VISPO the requisite leadership to manage and operate ECFiber.”
