City of Burlington to open cooling centers as temperatures rise next week

Vermont Business Magazine With temperatures expected to rise above 90 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday 6/22, Monday 6/23, Tuesday 6/24, the heat index will meet the threshold for cooling centers to be activated by the City of Burlington.   

The following locations will be used as cooling centers:    

Fletcher Free Library 

Main location – 235 College St, Burlington, VT 05401 

Sunday: 12pm-6pm; Monday 10am-6pm; Tuesday: 10am-8pm 

NNE Location – 1127 North Ave, Burlington, VT 05408 

Tuesday: 2-6pm 

CORE at the ONE Community Center 

20 Allen St, Burlington, VT 05401 

Monday: 9am-4pm; Tuesday: 9am-4pm 

Shade Tent in City Hall Park 

149 Church St, Burlington, VT 05401 (located to the west of City Hall) 

Available for shade and water 

Sharon Bushor Conference Room 

149 Church St, 1st floor, Burlington, VT 05401 

Sunday: 11am-6pm; Monday: 11am-6:30pm; Tuesday: 10am-6:30pm 

COTS Daystation 

95 North Ave, Burlington, VT 05401
