Interstates:
I-89 Colchester – Improvements are underway at the Exit 17 interchange. The intersection of U.S. 2 and U.S. 7 will have lane closures with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers from Sunday through Friday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. U.S. 2 between the I-89 Exit 17 southbound ramps and U.S. 7 will have lane reductions from Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., with potential for alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Travel lanes on U.S. 2 are shifted south between Jasper Mine Road and U.S. 7.
I-89 Montpelier-Waterbury – Motorists should expect major delays during peak travel hours due to southbound lane closures between mile markers 64.2 and 52.6 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
I-89 Royalton – Construction continues Monday through Friday on the I-89 bridges near Exit 3. Traffic is reduced to a single lane. Southbound traffic will use the travel lane, while northbound traffic crosses the median and returns north past the bridges. The Exit 3 North off-ramp uses a crossover to the new ramp. Speed limits are 55 mph in work zones and 25 mph on the Exit 3 off-ramp. The speed limit on VT 107 has been reduced to 30 mph and has a 14’ height restriction under the bridges.
I-89 Swanton-Highgate – Paving and stormwater improvement projects continue on I-89 where a temporary speed limit reduction to 55 mph will be in place across multiple work zones during working hours. Daily lane closures will be in place on I-89 North from Exit 20 to Exit 21 and on I-89 South from Exit 20 to Exit 22. Motorcyclists should watch for grooved and uneven surfaces.
I-91 Fairlee – A bridge deck replacement project continues on I-91 South where a crossover remains active. Beginning approximately a quarter mile before the Exit 15 interchange, traffic is reduced to a single lane in both directions and being diverted onto I-91 North. A speed limit reduction to 55 mph is in effect.
State Highways:
Barre Town-Orange – On U.S. 302, motorists should expect multiple single-lane closures with alternating one-way traffic between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., which may result in minor delays.
Bennington – A roundabout project will require single-lane closures with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers on VT 67A west of Silk Road from Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Bennington – On VT 9, the contractor will begin mobilizing storage containers and equipment to staging areas on Beech Street, south of the project site. Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, as any work will occur away from the roadway.
Brattleboro-Hinsdale – Lane shifts and one-way alternating traffic patterns controlled by flaggers will be present on VT 142 and VT/NH 119 while crews work on completing the new bridge project over the CT River. Motorists should watch for wet paint and be vigilant for multiple work zones and shifting traffic patterns.
Cambridge-Johnson – From Sunday at 6 p.m. through Monday at 6 a.m., flaggers will guide traffic at the VT 15/ VT 108 roundabout in Cambridge. Intermittent stops and significant traffic delays are expected. Tuesday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., flaggers will guide alternating one-way traffic on VT 15 between the VT 15/ VT 108 roundabout in Cambridge and Park Street in Johnson.
Chelsea-Washington – From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the contractor will be working on the drainage swales adjacent to the library and post office in Chelsea Village. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic impacts and minimal delays on VT 110, and parking will be limited around the Chelsea Village for the duration of this work.
Enosburg Falls – Crews are expected on site only a few days throughout the week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. While the work zone is active, VT 105 will be reduced to one lane intermittently with flaggers for paving and clean-up work near the intersections of VT 105 and Water Tower Road, and VT 105 and Pleasant Street.
Fairfax – Motorists should anticipate alternating one-way traffic on VT 128 Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Fairfax to Essex. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zones. Motorcyclists are advised to exercise caution due to the grooved pavement surface.
Grafton – On Tuesday from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., flaggers will guide alternating one-way traffic on VT 121 near Fisher Hill Road.
Hinesburg-South Burlington – The VT 116 resurfacing project continues. Traffic control will be present with one lane of alternating travel Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Jericho – Construction 3.3 miles north of the U.S. 2 junction will cause traffic delays due to tree clearing and site preparation work. Motorists should expect one-lane alternating traffic from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ludlow – Daily lane closures are scheduled for VT 100 and VT 103. Flaggers are anticipated to be controlling one-way alternating traffic patterns and to be staffed in intersections throughout the project limits. Expect delays.
Marshfield-Danville – From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., motorists should anticipate minor delays and alternating one-way traffic on U.S. 2 from the intersection with VT 15 in West Danville west to the Marshfield town line. Flaggers and Uniformed Traffic Officers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.
Pittsford – U.S. 7 motorists can expect little to no traffic impact. Flaggers may be present to allow for truck traffic in/out of the work area.
Plymouth – The southbound lane of VT 100A will remain closed while the northbound lane stays open and controlled by a temporary signal. Motorists should expect continued construction activity near the bridge as crews prepare for micropile installation and complete stream isolation work.
Quechee Gorge Bridge – The eastbound lane closure and one-way alternating traffic controlled by a traffic signal will continue until mid-season when the closure switches sides to the westbound lane. The trail at the bridge underpass is closed through fall 2025. The adjacent trail is open via a signed detour through the visitor center.
Readsboro – VT 100 over Deerfield River will have one lane of traffic controlled by flaggers, with a 24-hour lane shift at Phelps Lane. The parking area adjacent to the gazebo is closed for material storage.
Rutland – A resurfacing project may require single-lane closures or alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers on U.S. 7 near Park Street from Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Rutland – A railroad crossing project will require single-lane closures with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers on West Street near Forest Street from Monday through Thursday, between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. West Street will be closed at the railroad crossing near Forest Street, with traffic maintained via detour routes from Friday at 6 a.m. until Sunday at 8 p.m. Local traffic on West Street will be detoured via Meadow Street, School Street, Forest Street, and Pine Street. Through traffic (including trucks) on West Street will be detoured via Columbian Avenue, State Street, and Merchants Row.
Searsburg – On VT 9, bridge construction continues with work on abutments and wingwalls, including a scheduled concrete pour on June 19. Traffic will remain open in both directions on the bypass road, with no expected delays.
Sheldon – Motorists should anticipate alternating one-way traffic on VT 105 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Sheldon to Enosburg. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zones. Motorcyclists are advised to exercise caution due to the grooved pavement surface and low shoulders.
Springfield – Shoulder closures will be in place as needed on VT 11 about a quarter mile west of the intersection with VT 106 where a culvert replacement project has started. Motorists should be watch for construction equipment and personnel crossing the road at this location.
Swanton – Toward the end of the week, VT 78 near the I-89 Exit 21 interchange will be reduced to one lane with flaggers alternating traffic while crews work off the shoulder on stormwater improvements.
Thetford-Fairlee – A guardrail installation on U.S. 5 will cause single-lane closures and flaggers between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Drivers should expect minor delays near active work zones.
Waterbury – Motorists should anticipate alternating one-way traffic on Stowe Street and Lincoln Street, and minor traffic delays at the intersection of Stowe Street and VT 100. Uniformed Traffic Officers and flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone. Beginning on Thursday, the bridge on Stowe Street over the Thatcher Brook will be closed to all traffic for 60 days. The signed detour will direct traffic along VT 100, U.S. 2, and Stowe Street.
Williston – A roadway resurfacing and widening project will require single-lane closures with alternating one-way traffic on Industrial Avenue between Gail Terrace and VT 2A Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. VT 2A between Industrial Ave/Mountain View Road and Meadowrun Road will have lane reductions and lane shifts from Tuesday through Friday, between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., with potential for alternating one-way traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists should expect significant traffic delays on weekdays between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. and plan extra travel time or consider alternate routes.
Woodstock – Beginning on Monday morning, detour signs will direct traffic to Stimets Road, an unpaved route located about 0.20 miles north of the junction with VT 12, where drivers should use caution.
Worcester – From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., motorists should expect alternating one-way traffic on the temporary bridge on VT 12 over the North Branch of the Winooski River. Temporary traffic signals will control traffic through the work zone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Flaggers may also be present to assist motorists through the area.
Worcester – From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., motorists should expect alternating one-way traffic on the VT 12 bridge over Hardwood Brook. Temporary traffic signals will control traffic through the work zone during non-working hours. Flaggers may also be present to assist motorists through the area during working hours.
