VITL CEO Beth Anderson to step down in July

Beth Anderson, president and CEO at VITL since 2019, has announced her intention to step down from her post on July 25. Chief Financial Officer Cara Callanan will lead the organization on an interim basis while the board of directors conducts a search for a permanent replacement.

“Under Beth’s strategic, steady leadership, VITL has become an indispensable partner to heath care providers and everyone working to build a more connected, effective and affordable system of care for Vermonters," board chair Emma Harrigan said. "The board thanks Beth for her service.”

During Anderson's tenure, VITL has:

  • Embedded access to unified patient records, significantly increasing use by health care providers.
  • Expanded available data to include pharmacies, labs and behavioral health, providing a more comprehensive health picture.
  • Developed more efficient ways to deliver clinical data for Vermont's Medicaid program.
  • Built a strong partnership with the Vermont Department of Health, recognized nationally for serving public health.
