Local Motion, a statewide advocate for active transportation, vibrant communities and safe streets, has hired Richard Amore as programs director and Marcie Gallagher as Complete Streets specialist.
Amore joins Local Motion from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program, where he served as community and economic development representative. He holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design, a master's degree in community planning and a master's degree in landscape architecture from Auburn University in Alabama.
Gallagher recently served as 3SquaresVT specialist at Hunger Free Vermont, a statewide organization committed to ending the injustice of hunger and malnutrition for all Vermonters. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
