
Vermont Business Magazine Verizon has named Matt Coakley as the Senior Vice President and Market President of Verizon’s Atlantic North Market, succeeding Chris Flood, who now serves as SVP of Customer Success Operations. Coakley will be responsible for overseeing all consumer sales, distribution, and operational execution across the market's 12 states, including Vermont, and the District of Columbia. He’ll also be leading a team of about 3,000 employees and managing 286 corporate stores in a region with more than 1,200 indirect stores and nearly the entire Verizon Fios Home Internet footprint.

Matt’s leadership skills and deep experience in designing promotions and bringing them to life in the field make him uniquely suited for this role and will help drive results in this key market. Matt previously served as the Vice President of Consumer Growth Marketing & Demand Generation for the Verizon Consumer Group, driving customer acquisition across mobile, home, and adjacent services by developing marketing & promotional campaigns leveraging consumer research and data-driven insights. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director of the Home Segment Marketing team, leading pricing and value proposition evolution for Verizon’s home portfolio including Fios and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA).
Before joining Verizon, Matt was a Strategic Advisor at PwC helping corporate and private equity clients define growth, deal, go to market, innovation, corporate and business unit strategies.
Matt has an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business with a concentration in Corporate Finance, and a BA from the University of Michigan. Matt resides in Montclair, NJ, with his wife and two children.
