Liz Gamache, chief development officer at United Way of Northwest Vermont, has been appointed the next president and CEO at Lund, a nonprofit agency offering treatment, education, adoption and family support services to help women, children and families break cycles of poverty, abuse and addiction. She begins work on May 1 and will succeed Ken Schatz, who has served as interim CEO since June.
Gamache joins Lund with more than 20 years' experience in community and economic development and is known for her hands-on approach and results-driven mindset. Prior to her position at United Way, Gamache held significant roles at the Preservation Trust of Vermont, Vermont Energy Investment Corp. and Vermont Electric Cooperative. She also previously served as mayor of Saint Albans.
“We are excited to welcome Liz Gamache to Lund as CEO,” said board chair Darren Springer. “She brings significant experience as a nonprofit and government leader as well as a clear dedication to Lund’s mission. The board looks forward to working with Liz to further Lund’s critical work at a time it is needed more than ever.”
