Erin Pond, commercial banking officer at Community Bank, has been named 2025 Woman of the Year by the Vermont Bankers Association, an organization that provides multilevel services and support for community banks across the state.
The award recognizes an individual who excels in their profession while going above and beyond in supporting or lifting other women to their full potential. Pond has dedicated more than 20 years to mentoring women in the banking industry and continues to set new benchmarks for volunteerism at the bank.
“As a leader, Erin fosters an environment of encouragement and engagement,” said Matt Durkee, New England regional president at Community Bank. “She fully believes in being inclusive, intentionally acts this way and encourages kindness in others.”
Pond joined Community Bank in 2017 and manages a range of specialized duties to identify and serve the needs of commercial banking customers in the Vermont market as a commercial banking officer. She is also the bank’s director of captive services.
