Stephen G. Jones, a retired institutional real estate executive, has been appointed to the Norwich University Board of Trustees. Jones is a 1971 businesses administration graduate of the university.
Jones began his professional career with Aetna Life Insurance Co. in the real estate investment department, a major provider of debt and equity capital to the commercial real estate industry. He later enjoyed a 20-year career with Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world’s largest commercial real estate services companies.
In recent years, Jones was active in local environmental initiatives focused on reducing excessive noise in residential areas. This work led to significant public policy changes in Southampton, New York, and in John’s Island, a 1,300-home community where he currently lives.
