Hours of operation 2025 with highlighted time changes:

Vermont Business Magazine The Champlain Valley Fair, and the ten best days of summer, returns on August 22nd through August 31st, 2025, with thrilling midway rides, savory fair food, tremendous vendor offerings, educational agricultural shows and exhibits, plus incredible grandstand performances and events!
We are excited to share some early information on what’s coming in 2025. Classic rock will open the Fair on August 22nd with 38 Special & Loverboy! For those looking for a night of fun and laughter, Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias will take the stage on Friday, August 29th. Country artist Dustin Lynch joins the lineup on Saturday, August 30th. Rapper and DJ Lil Jon will rock the stage and close out the Fair on Sunday, August 31st. We will continue to share information as we secure additional shows and fill out the 2025 Bud Light Concert Series lineup.
We have also secured our fairgoer favorite motor sport events, including, A Night of Fire & Destruction Monster Truck Show on Sunday, August 24th, Figure 8 Racing on Wednesday, August 27th, and the Demolition Derby on Thursday, August 28th. There’s plenty of full throttle, car crunching excitement for everyone!
Strates Shows returns to our midway in 2025, offering incredible rides and amusement for fairgoers of all ages. We will continue to bring additional live entertainment fairgoers enjoy, such as the Live Shark Exhibit, Racing Pigs, Live Music, The Flying Cortes, and more!
And, of course, the Fair will never be without its substantial agricultural exhibits, competitions, and entertainment. The Fair offers a unique opportunity to experience the joys of agriculture. For many, it is the one opportunity each year to see, pet, and learn about many farm animals. For others, it’s a chance to compete in horse pulling, Gymkhana, barrel racing, and 4-H. The Fair isn’t the Fair without our Vermont agriculture!
As we plan ahead to 2025 and beyond, we continue to uphold many traditions of the annual Champlain Valley Fair. Rooted in those traditions and enduring for over a century, the Fair remains a cornerstone event in the community, drawing hundreds of thousands of fairgoers to the ten-day event. The Fair has also evolved over the last century to ensure its existence for generations to come.
Beginning in 2025, the Fair will adjust its Monday-Friday hours of operation to better align with our attendance. “When we reviewed our midweek attendance data, it was clear that a very small percentage of our guests arrive between 10 AM and noon (12 PM).” stated Brad Hunt, Marketing Director for the Champlain Valley Exposition.
Instead of opening at 10AM Monday-Friday, the Fair will now open at noon (12:00 PM). The midway will open at 2PM Monday-Friday. This also means three additional hours on opening day, Friday, August 22nd. We will also move Kids Day to opening day, allowing children more opportunities to attend without conflicting with the current school schedule.
Weekend hours will remain unchanged with gates opening at 10 AM and the midway opening at 12 PM.
“Like any organization, we continually look to improve our efficiency to offset the ever-increasing cost of labor, public safety, and other expenses related to hosting Vermont’s largest event.” Hunt added.
