Christopher L. Caldwell has been promoted to president and CEO at Vermont-based Community National Bank and its parent company, Community Bancorp., effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Kathy Austin, who retired on Dec. 31 but will continue to serve on the boards of both the bank and the company.
Since January 2024, Caldwell has served as president and director at Community National and vice president and director at Bancorp. Before that, he was vice president of the company and executive vice president and chief lending officer at the bank.
Caldwell is a graduate of Manchester University in Indiana and holds a master's degree in history from Ohio University and an MBA from Anderson University in Indiana. He is also a graduate of ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
