Sarah Mearhoff, former chief politics reporter at VTDigger, has joined the Associated General Contractors of Vermont as director of advocacy and communications. She will begin full time on Jan. 2, ahead of Vermont’s 2025 legislative session, which begins the following week.
In her new role, Mearhoff will represent the interests of Vermont’s construction workers and developers in Montpelier. She will also serve as a key contact between AGC-VT members and lawmakers, delivering members’ messages from the job site to the Statehouse.
Vermont’s premier construction trade association, AGC-VT has earned national recognition for its work in member engagement and advocacy, as well as for its worker training, education and safety initiatives. AGC-VT is a state chapter to the Associated General Contractors of America, which represents the interests of more than 32,000 construction industry professionals nationwide.
