The Associated General Contractors of Vermont (AGC/VT), one of Vermont's oldest and most respected associations, celebrated its 90th anniversary at the 2024 Annual Meeting and Best Builder Awards Banquet, held on December 3-4, 2024. This milestone event highlighted the association's enduring commitment to Vermont's construction industry.
The two-day event commenced with a virtual session on December 3, featuring an opening keynote by Senator Peter Welch. The agenda included discussions on government relations, crisis communications, economic forecasts, and safety and mental health investments.

On December 4, attendees gathered in person at the Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT. The day's sessions covered topics such as legal contracts, fall protection, and operations.

During the meeting, AGC/VT approved its 2025 Executive Board. John Casella II, of Casella Construction, was welcomed as President, succeeding Jason Sicard, who was honored for his service as the 2024 President. This leadership transition reflects AGC/VT's ongoing commitment to excellence in Vermont's construction industry.

The event concluded with the Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony. The Best Builder Awards recognized outstanding projects in various categories, including new construction, innovation, and historical reconstruction. The event also honored individuals for their contributions to the industry, underscoring AGC/VT's role in promoting excellence in Vermont's construction sector.

Congratulations Award Winners!

AGC/VT kept the excitement alive with the continuation of its yearly raffle tradition. This year, the stakes were higher with a brand-new prize: a mini bike! The addition of this unique prize stirred up friendly competition among attendees, creating an electric atmosphere.
In the end, Zack Thompson, General Superintendent at Casella Construction, emerged as the lucky winner and proudly took home the mini bike. The raffle not only added fun to the event but also highlighted the camaraderie and community spirit among AGC/VT members.
