The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund, a nonprofit organization committed to nurturing the sustainable development of Vermont's economy, has appointed Diane Abruzzini Riggs of Underhill and Ken Linge of South Burlington to its board of directors.
Abruzzini Riggs is chief operating officer and co-founder of Rigorous Technology, an industrial robotics company based in Williston. Before founding Rigorous, she worked in sustainable agriculture and ran small food and farm businesses, including a wood-fired bakery. Abruzzini Riggs volunteers on the finance committee of NAMI Vermont and serves on the advisory board of VCET’s Vermont Seed Capital Fund. She is a graduate of Skidmore College and holds an MBA in sustainable innovation from the University of Vermont.
Linge is a loan officer at the Vermont Bond Bank, where he helps municipalities and school districts across the state access affordable capital for projects large and small. Before joining VBB, he served as executive director and then board member at the National Coalition for Community Capital, where he worked with and learned from national leaders in innovative community-centered finance. Linge is a graduate of Hamilton College and holds an MBA in sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship from the University of Vermont Grossman School of Business.
