Vermont realtors Kevin Barnes and Sarah Peluso will be honored with major awards from the Vermont Association of Realtors at the organization's 79th annual meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in South Burlington.
Barnes, luxury properties specialist at William Raveis Real Estate Vermont Properties, will receive the association's 2024 Good Neighbor Award for his exemplary commitment to volunteerism and community service. He is a dedicated little league coach; led the Friends and Neighbors Foundation, raising significant funds for the organization as its president; and served as president of the Reading Recreation Commission.
“Some people never volunteer, while others are always at the ready. Kevin is the latter,” said Joe Karl, a colleague of Barnes at William Raveis Vermont Properties. “Kevin never looks for accolades, but this award has been long overdue.”
Peluso, broker associate at IPJ Real Estate in Middlebury, will be recognized as 2024 Realtor of the Year for her outstanding service to the real estate profession and the community. She has served on numerous boards and commissions, including United Way of Addison County, the Middlebury Planning Commission, Eastview at Middlebury and PrimeMLS.
“Sarah's leadership, integrity and passion for serving others truly embody what it means to be a realtor,” said Kathy Sweeten, CEO of realtors association. “Her dedication to her clients, her community and her profession is unparalleled.”
