Established in 1988, Leadership Champlain is a professional development and community engagement program with a mission to foster growth and leadership in professionals who will serve the local community now and in the future.

The incoming cohort of 36 participants kicked off the program at the Opening Retreat at Basin Harbor Resort, September 19-20. They will spend the next nine months diving into the challenges and opportunities present in the state, meeting with leaders across varied sectors and industries, and exploring how they can best apply themselves as next generation leaders in Vermont.

“The success of this program over the years is a testament to how much graduates gain from it,” said Cathy Davis, president of the Lake Champlain Chamber. “We are very proud of the dynamic connections this program creates in the community and look forward to seeing the Class of 2025 grow and develop as leaders.”

The Lake Champlain Chamber powers prosperity in the Lake Champlain region through five distinct points: Seeking economic opportunity for all; Celebrating business ownership and entrepreneurship; Promoting a robust, diversified visitor economy; Cultivating community leadership; Nurturing emerging talent.
