Angie Aulis, a registered nurse at Northwestern Medical Center’s Family Birth Center, was recently honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's programs to recognize nurses for the compassionate contributions they make every day.
The family who nominated Aulis said they were welcomed and treated like royalty at the birth center. Aulis never left their side and gave them and their baby outstanding, compassionate care, the family added.
Family Birth Center Nurse Manager Anna Gabaree said Aulis provides compassionate care even in the most trying situations.
“It is truly an honor to work with her,” Gabaree said.
