Vermont Business Magazine Last week, news broke that Summit Ventures NE LLC has agreed to sell the majority of its Sugarbush assets to Alterra Mountain Company. While this was no easy decision, President and COO Win Smith and the Sugarbush staff are excited to see where this opportunity takes the Resort and the community. For those who are interested in learning more, Sugarbush will be hosting an open forum where Win and our executive team will be joined by members of the Alterra Mountain Company leadership team. The forum is scheduled for tonight, November 20th, at 5pm in Sugarbush's Gate House Lodge at Lincoln Peak in Warren. Sugarbush welcomes the the public to join them as they look forward to the upcoming season. Alterra is part of the Aspen resort group from Colorado, which also owns Stratton Mountain in Vermont.

We’ve received 3 inches from the latest storm, bringing us to 20 total inches of natural snow so far! Mother Nature and our hardworking snowmaking crew are setting us up nicely for Opening Day this Saturday, November 23rd. Valley House, Gate House and the Welcome Mat lifts are scheduled to be open with terrain for all ability levels from 9AM until 4PM. Sugarbush and IKON Passholders can enjoy early access to the slopes on Friday, November 22nd as a sign of our appreciation.
