Vermont Business Magazine The Community Bank NA Northfield branch recently presented $500 donations to The Veterans’ Place to support its 10th anniversary celebration and to Northfield Senior Center to support its Meals on Wheels program and drawing class.
“Giving back to our community is so important to us,” Community Bank N.A. Branch Supervisor Crystal Gaudet said. “We’re not just your local teller or banker — we live in this community and are committed to making it a great place to live, work and play. The Veteran’s Place and Northfield Senior Center are staples in Northfield and support or neighbors in need. We’re proud to support their efforts.”

The Veterans’ Place is a 26-bed substance-free transitional home that serves homeless veterans with help from more than 25 dedicated partners. It provides a variety of services, including laundry facilities, transportation, meals, housing, individual weekly case management and assistance with applications for disability. Its 10th anniversary celebration will take place August 24 at The Crescent across from the Norwich University Armory from 3-8pm. For more information on The Veteran’s Place, visit its Facebook page.
Northfield Senior Center was founded in 1989 and provides comprehensive social, educational, nutritional and recreational services to local senior residents. Membership is free for anyone 50 or older. Its Meals on Wheels program offers a nutritious, hot mid-day meal to low-income, isolated seniors.
