Four Year Giving Totals $100,000 in support of Y early childhood programs
Vermont Business Magazine The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, recently donated $25,000 to the Greater Burlington YMCA as part of the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community. This year marks the fourth in which the TD Charitable Foundation has made such a generous contribution, bringing their total philanthropy to $100,000 during this period.
The Greater Burlington YMCA offers diverse programming with a mission to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. TD’s gifts to the Y have been designated to support the Y’s early childhood programs, with a focus on financial assistance to create access for families to the Y’s high-quality infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. In 2018, these programs served close to 300 children, with 45% receiving Y financial assistance.
