Vermont Business Magazine Strolling of the Heifers’ annual culinary competition aims to find the tastiest and best-looking Coffee Cake or Sweet Bread in New England! It’s time for amateur and professional bakers to fire up their ovens and bring us their best, most original Coffee Cake or Sweet Bread recipe! The deadline is now midnight on May 24. Finalists will be notified by May 31.
Finalists will bring their cakes to the River Garden for judging, and sampling by the public.
Local celebrity “foodie” judges will announce the winners on Friday evening, June 7, 2019 during the Stroll Friday Fest as part of the 2018 Strolling of the Heifers Weekend.
Ingredients should be, as much as possible, local, including Vermont products, and the use of ingredients from our sponsors is encouraged. Recipes must include at least two cups King Arthur Flour®, and one ¼ oz. package (2¼ tsp) of Red Star® Yeast.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
