Stowe Electric welcomes Clean Energy Innovator Fellow Charlie Ansley

Charlie Ansley

Charlie Ansley, former senior associate for contracts at Capital One, has joined Stowe Electric Department as a U.S. Department of Energy Clean Energy Innovator fellow.

Fellows receive hands-on experience supporting projects that host institutions identify as critical to advancing clean energy solutions that decarbonize the power system, electrify transportation and industry, and make the U.S. power system more resilient, equitable, and inclusive.

In his new role, Ansley will continue SED’s research partnership with university students in Vermont, which was recognized with an American Public Power Association Energy Innovator Award in 2023. He also will apply his legal research and writing skills to help Stowe Electric update internal polices, with a focus on customer enrollment in energy equity programs, net-metering and Vermont rules and statutes related to renewable energy and global warming solutions.

Ansley is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and holds a law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, with previous experience in both public- and private-sector work.
