Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets Are you helping the agricultural community recover after the recent flooding events? The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets has compiled resources, guidance, and contact information that can support agricultural recovery from flooding.

You can find the Post Flooding – Technical Assistance Toolkit and other compiled resources online. Within the toolkit, you will find a variety of resources such as next steps for farmers, technical assistance opportunities, mental health resources, enterprise specific guidance, financial assistance programs, and more. In addition to the full-length toolkit, one pagers with key information are available for targeted and brief reference.

Agriculture Flood Loss & Damage Survey

If you are a business, organization, or individual that raises animals, meat, or poultry and/or grows feed or crops for anyone beyond your immediate family, please fill out the Agriculture Flood Loss & Damage Survey.

Survey data will be used to inform flood response efforts, allocate resources, and advocate for future relief and recovery programs.

Forest Economy Flood Loss & Damage Survey

If you are a forest economy business or forest landowner, please complete the Forest Economy Loss & Damage Survey so that the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation can understand the impact of the flooding last month.

Survey data will be used to inform response efforts and advocate for future relief and recovery programs.

Open Farm Week Events

For the tenth consecutive year, farmers across Vermont will open their barn doors and garden gates to welcome the public for a behind the scenes look at Vermont’s vibrant working landscapes during Vermont Open Farm Week, August 4th - 11th.

This celebration of Vermont farms offers visitors a backstage pass to learn more about local food, engage in authentic on-farm experiences, and build relationships with Vermont farmers and artisans. 

This year 49 farms will host 157 events across the state. Many events are free and some require pre-registration.
