Celebrating Excellence In HR: Nominations open for the Vermont Human Resources Professionals of the Year 2024

Vermont Business Magazine The SHRM Vermont State Council has opened nominations for the prestigious Dolly Shaw Vermont Human Resources Professional of the Year Award and the Vermont Emerging Human Resources Professional of the Year Award. These distinguished accolades seek to recognize outstanding HR professionals who have displayed exceptional performance and have made significant contributions to the field of human resources management.

The nominations for both awards can be submitted through our official website at https://shrmvt.org/2024_HR_Awards_Nomination and must be received no later than Friday, July 26th, 2024. The Nomination Committee, comprising esteemed former award winners, will carefully review all submissions to ensure the selection of genuinely deserving awardees.

Eligible nominees for the Dolly Shaw Vermont Human Resources Professional of the Year Award should typically have ten years' experience in the HR profession and be a current member of a SHRM Chapter. We seek individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, and a tangible impact on business outcomes through their HR leadership, strategies, and development. The awardee will also be recognized for their significant contributions to their organization, industry, and community, as well as their embodiment of the highest professional standards and dedication to serving as a role model for their peers.

Similarly, we invite nominations for the Vermont Emerging Human Resources Professional of the Year Award, which celebrates the achievements of exceptional HR professionals who are relatively new to the field but have already shown great promise and effectiveness in their work.

Eligible nominees for this award should typically have less than ten years of HR experience and be current members of a SHRM Chapter. We seek individuals who have demonstrated their ability to bring innovative and creative thinking to problem-solving, significantly impacted the HR function and reputation within their organization, and displayed excellence through new ideas, programming, and applying well-regarded HR principles.

"These HR Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of HR professionals from across the state who embody the spirit of dedication, innovation, and continuous learning," said Mara Rivera, Vermont State Council Director of SHRM. "We encourage CEOs and business leaders to submit nominations and share with us the outstanding contributions of their HR professionals, deserving of this esteemed recognition."

The recipients of both Awards will be honored at the annual SHRM Vermont State Conference on September 12th, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Burlington, VT. Visit shrmvt.org for more information about the Conference and to register.
