Flood Resources for Businesses

As the northern half of Vermont begins the clean-up and recovery process from flooding July 10-11, the Vermont Department of Labor stands by, ready to help businesses and individuals get back on their feet. 

Refer to labor.vermont.gov for further flooding resources. Learn about work safety reminders, different ways to access emergency information and more.

If your business or home was damaged by the flood, please report your damage to 2-1-1.

Disaster Recovery Services Available for Flood Recovery Assistance in Vermont

Disaster Recovery Services (DRS), a division of Hub, is available to assist municipalities as well as private, public, and non-profit entities with navigating FEMA’s process and handling insurance claims following last week's flooding.

Entry-Level Driver Training

July 16-17 @ 8am

The FMCSA’s entry-level driver training (ELDT) rule took effect on February 7, 2022. Under the new rule, entry-level drivers (drivers who are applying for an initial CDL, upgrading a current CDL, or obtaining a hazardous materials, passenger, or school bus endorsement) must successfully complete a prescribed program of theory and behind-the-wheel instruction prior to taking the CDL test.

July 23-24 @ 7am

Vermont Fire Alarm TQP recertification or Type-S license 8-hour update class. Please attend the 2024 series of fire alarm certification classes. These classes, now presented live & online in a webinar format for your convenience and safety, are approved by the state of Vermont and meet the continuing education requirements for the VT fire alarm TQP certification and Type-S fire alarm licensing requirements.
