VermontBiz Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA), recognizing the need for more centralized office space to support the growth of its case management department, moved satellite offices from Windsor County to a shared office space in downtown Randolph.
Previously, CVCOA had rented individual offices from the Randolph Senior Center, Royalton Senior Center, and from a Main Street storefront in Rochester. Each office was utilized by a single case manager.
This move will allow CVCOA to streamline operating expenses by bringing expenses like internet service under one location. At the same time, case managers will have more opportunities to collaborate and provide support for one another when they’re not on the road seeing clients and community members.
Executive Director John Mandeville said, “We have been looking into consolidating our offices in South Royalton, Rochester, and Randolph for some time. Not only as a cost-saving move, but to increase staff efficiency and to better accommodate our clients. Our case managers provide most of their services by making visits to clients’ homes and are only occasionally in their offices. These new offices are large enough that we will be able to locate additional case managers as we continue to assist even more clients as our Choices for Care clients increase by over 200% over the next year. These offices will also be available to other CVCOA staff to use as a “landing place” from time to time as they execute their responsibilities in the Randolph area.”
Another factor in the move was the projected growth of the Agency’s case management department. The State of Vermont has put a plan into action to comply with federal standards for conflict-free case management. All Area Agencies on Aging throughout the state will provide case management for Choices for Care clients (for high/highest needs, moderate needs, Adult Family Care and Flexible Choices) by July 2025. The new office space in Randolph will be able to host additional staff members.
The new offices are located in the Randolph Co-Worker Space, 2 South Main Street, Randolph, VT 05060. This office will not be staffed by a receptionist, so appointments are kindly requested. Please call our Helpline at 802-477-1364 to connect with a member of our case management team.
