Henry Tornwini, a senior at Burlington High School, has been named 2024 Vermont Youth of the Year by the Vermont Boys & Girls Club and will advance to the Northeast regional Youth of the Year competition June 20 in New York City.
"I would like to thank my club for the opportunity to participate in the Youth of the Year competition," Torwini said. I'm proud to represent the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington on a regional level."
“Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor that can be bestowed on a member of a Boys & Girls Club in Vermont. It provides introductions to people who offer new, deeply meaningful opportunities and a broadened world view through a multiday trip to New York City.
"The confidence and aspirations it helps to build are life changing," said Tanya Benosky, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. "I couldn’t be more proud of Henry for earning this honor.”
