Suzie Walker, owner and operator of Mindful Editing, has been elected to a one-year term as president of the 20-member board of trustees of the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center.
Walker will serve alongside newly elected officers Katherine Gass Stowe, founder and chief curator at James Company Contemporary Art Projects, vice president; Stephanie Huestis, vice president and commercial banking officer at Brattleboro Savings & Loan, treasurer; and newly elected trustee Christopher Sink, retired executive director or equivalent at several nonprofit arts organizations, secretary.
In addition to Sink, who previously served as a trustee from 2017 to 2023, the board elected four other new members to three-year terms. They are: Debbie Gassaway-Hayward of Brattleboro, retired associate professor and director of advising at Landmark College; Christie Herbert of Dummerston, ceramic artist and professor of studio arts at Landmark College; Dylan Kim of Southbury, Connecticut, investment analyst at Goldman Sachs Asset Management; and Maia Segura of South Newfane, a partner at Creative Catalyst Communications.
Founded in 1972, the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center presents rotating exhibits of contemporary art, complemented by lectures, artist talks, film screenings and other public programs.
