The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center, a nonprofit management consulting group in Randolph, has appointed Whitney Valentine-Wafer as its next chief financial officer. She succeeds Rebecca Stygles, who will move to part-time status in July before retiring at the end of the year.

Valentine-Wafer brings more than 20 years of finance, accounting and business operations experience to VMEC. For the last three years, she served as a consultant and fractional CFO to small- to medium-sized businesses, helping them build scalable and sound financial and business operations.

Valentine-Wafer is a graduate of Golden Gate University in San Francisco, where she majored in finance.
