Dr. Kumar Singh and family nurse practitioner Patricia Murphy have joined Gifford Medical Center, serving with the hospitalist team on Howell Pavilion, Gifford’s inpatient unit.
Singh is involved with a patient’s care from the time they are admitted to the hospital to the time they are discharged. He also provides consultation to surgeons, OB-GYN providers and others who may require consultation.
Singh previously worked at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York; Olean General Hospital in Olean, New York; and BronxCare in the Bronx. He earned his bachelor's and doctor of medicine degrees from Ambedkar Medical College in Bangalore, India.
Murphy sees patients of all ages who are admitted to the hospital. She brings to the role extensive, specialized experience in providing geriatric and palliative care.
Murphy previously worked in temporary roles through DocStar Medical Partners with North Country Healthcare in New Hampshire as well as with several facilities in Florida. She holds both bachelor's and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.
