Hannah Rushing

Sterling College in Crafsbury has hired four new employees — Hannah Rushing in advancement, Seth Hayden in facilities and Xiao Ma and Nic Stevens in admissions.

Rushing, who formerly owned her own coaching consulting company, has been named director of advancement. She has previous experience working in advancement at the Lesley Ellis School in Arlington, Massachusetts. Rushing is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts.

Hayden, a former consultant at Craftsbury Saplings, has been hired as director of buildings and grounds. He has hands-on experience with facilities management, project planning and management for renovations and expansion. Hayden is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ma, a recent visual arts and literature graduate of Bennington College, and Stevens, an applied sustainability graduate of Pacific University in Oregon, will serve as  admission counselors. While at Bennington, Ma worked on the admission team and gained valuable experience that will enhance her work at Sterling. Stevens brings to Sterling a love of farming and food systems, and based his capstone around the use of community gardens to fight food insecurity on college campuses.
