The Lake Champlain Chamber has announced the promotions of Alex Bunten to director of workforce and education and Amelia Cayer to director of communications and engagement.
Bunten, who joined the chamber in 2021, will lead the organization's workforce development and education initiatives and programs. He will work with members, employers, regional partners and education officials on developing strategies and programs to build and strengthen Vermont’s current and future workforce.
Cayer, who also joined the chamber in 2021, will serve as one of the primary contacts at the chamber for businesses and organizations, and will work closely with member organizations to support their success. She will also lead the chamber’s communications and continue to oversee the Burlington Young Professionals program.
“The chamber’s ability to meet our mission of creating economic opportunities rests largely with our very talented team,” said President and CEO Catherine Davis. “Both promotions were well-deserved, and I am excited to see all that both Alex and Amelia will accomplish going forward.”
