Kinney Drugs, part of the KPH Healthcare Services family of companies, has awarded its 2024 Quest for Excellence Award to Analesa Muir, supervising pharmacist of Kinney’s Newport, Vermont, store.
The Quest for Excellence, Kinney's highest honor, is awarded annually to an employee who demonstrates outstanding leadership, achievement and performance. Muir was recognized for running her busy pharmacy in an efficient, productive, safe and patient-centric manner, and for providing exemplary medication therapy management services to her patients.
“Beyond her clinical expertise, Analesa embodies compassion and empathy, fostering strong connections with patients,” said Kinney President John Marraffa Jr. “Her tireless efforts to improve medication adherence and educate individuals on their health contribute significantly to the overall well-being of our community.”
A 2016 graduate of the University of New England in Portland, Maine, Muir began interning for Kinney Drugs in 2014. In spring 2017, she began working as a “floating” pharmacist, covering shifts at various Kinney pharmacies. She joined the permanent staff in Newport in 2019.
