Mack Molding, a leading custom plastics molder and supplier of contract manufacturing services, has promoted employees Ann Wedell, Bethany Hassett and Caitlin Hawley and welcomed new hires Duncan Smith, Darren Gale, Benjamin Schwartz and Tshering Tamang to its new-business development; manufacturing; engineering; and procurement teams.

Wedell was promoted from engineering team leader to materials manager at Mack headquarters in Arlington. She will now lead the shipping and receiving departments, including managing the development of production schedules for all manufacturing processes as well as managing and controlling inventories for the facility.

Hassett, who joined Mack in 2021 as accounts payable specialist, was promoted to business development coordinator. In her new role, she will coordinate the scheduling needs of the team and support the transition of new customers to the account management team.

Hawley, a sales service representative on the sales and engineering team, has taken on the role of procurement specialist in the purchasing department at Mack headquarters. In this new role, she will coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials and supplies for the company.

Smith joins Mack as new-business development manager covering the Northeast. He is responsible for growing new accounts and identifying future growth markets and technologies. Smith formerly served as head of sales at Seaport Consulting in Boston.

Gale was brought on as director of molding operations at Mack Prototype in Gardner, Massachusetts. In this role, he leads engineering and operations activities in injection molding, DFM support and new-tooling development in the low-volume, specialty production of complex parts for medical, industrial, defense and consumer markets.

He is responsible for planning and directing engineering design and development projects to support a number of customer programs through all phases of innovation and development.

Tamang joins the company as a quality engineer at the Cavendish plant, where he will support program launches and provide creative and sustaining engineering solutions to drive operational efficiency. Prior to Mack, he was an analytical lab technician with Revision Military in Essex Junction.
