Tucker, Duffy recognized as state’s top engineers for 2024

Vermont engineers Jeffrey Tucker of Barre Town and Jordan Duffy of Richmond have been named tops in their profession for 2024 by the state's professional engineering societies.

Tucker, CEO of Vermont-based DuBois & King, was named Engineer of the Year, and Duffy, water resources engineer at Fitzgerald Environmental Associates in Colchester, was named Young Engineer of the Year. Both will be honored Feb. 23 during the annual Engineers Week banquet, hosted by the Vermont Society of Professional Engineers, at the Delta Hotel in South Burlington.

The awards are given annually to the registered professional engineers in the state who have made notable contributions to the profession, the society and the community.

Tucker, a civil engineer, is a graduate of the University of Vermont. He has served as president of both the Vermont Society of Engineers and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Vermont.

Duffy, a civil engineer, holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Vermont. He has served in numerous positions with the Vermont chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, including as 2022-23 chapter president.
